Return Policy for online orders

For online orders, return requests must be made within 45 days of the date of delivery.

The cost of return shipping will be subtracted from the total refund amount. The cost of shipping for a return will be the same as the shipping cost of the original order. The shipping cost of the original order will not be refunded.

A 20% handling charge will be made on stock goods returned for credit.  The company reserves the right to waive or lower handling charges on returned merchandise. Contact us or refer to Terms of Service for more information.

Special order items purchased online cannot be returned. Items considered special order are marked on its product page with a "Special Order Item" notice. Refer to Terms of Service for more information.

How can I make a return for an online order?

To claim a return, access your account by logging in using the "Sign In" button at the top right. If you’re already logged in, click your name in the top right. Select the "Order History and Details" link on the My Account page. Find the order you wish to return, and select “Details.” Select the items from your order you wish to return and type a reason for your return. Select "Request a Return". Your request for return will be reviewed by our customer service team. Returns are subject to our Terms of Service. After your request for return is reviewed, we will either mark the return "Waiting for package", or "Return Denied". When your return request is reviewed and marked "Waiting for package", you will be emailed a return shipping label. You may also return packages in person to your local Close Lumber store. 

How do I retrieve a return shipping label?

Once your Return request is marked "Waiting for package", you will be emailed a return shipping label to print from Close Lumber. The label will be sent to the email address associated with your Close Lumber online account.

Where do I drop off my return shipment?

After you have packaged and included the provided return shipping label, drop off your package at your local FedEx drop off location. Visit https://www.fedex.com/locate/index.html?locale=en_US to find your nearest location.

Why is the Returns feature unavailable or disabled?

Returns can only be made after a certain amount days after purchase. Consult the Terms of Service for our return policy.
